Optimization of the Production of an Immunostimulant from a Marine Bacterium

Abstract

|
|
A halophilic bacterium for the production of the immunostimulant was isolated from domestic marine, it was identified as Burkholderia sp. IS-203. The optimal conditions for the production of the immunostimulant were 1 % dextrose and 1 % yeast extract in artificial sea water for carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively. The initial pH and growth temperature for the prodution were 8.0 and 30℃ under the presence of oxygen, respectively.
